Carla is new member of our neuro sensory testing. She is in her senior year of her associate's degree in Psychology. She is currently attending Collin County Community College in their honor roll. She is a member of lulac and insulin4all.
She decided to work in an optometry when an old optometrist needed a secretary for a few months before the old one got back from maternity leave.
She's been in the eye field for six years, specifically in Optometry, with practices who specialize in glaucoma, retina, and cataracts. She previously worked in a pawn shop for three years and she has her own pawn broker / bail bond license.
She was born and raised most of her life in Plano Texas and a few years in Central America. She enjoys UFC, football, and baseball., traveling, and shopping with her girls.
She's a strong advocate for affordable insulin and helping low-income clinics & church.
She has two daughters, boyfriend, two younger sisters, and her mom and dad. She has had type 1 diabetes for 16 years.
